An inside joke or story doesn't always translate when you tell it to others, but I just got an email from the Youth leader at our church. John Sorrell, a great guy and a teenage magnet, is known by all in Beijing because he is the "Man in Orange". It is his signature color and I think an instant link to the teens he spends time with. He doesn't leave the house without a significant piece of clothing being bright orange. Even his car is orange, bright orange. He has a completely orange tux. His email names him the "orange guy".
So to our surprise the Olympics brought a change in John for a day. He donned the red, white and blue and did it so well that Fox News picked up on his "fan wear" and he became their poster boy for their website yesterday. See the picture of John standing in front of the US flag here on my blog and try to find a drop of orange...I couldn't. I guess it takes the Olympics to bring out ones true colors.
